Welcome to the most exciting and ambitious initiative in TEEN DRIVER SAFETY—the crowning of the GRAND CHAMPION YOUNG DRIVERS of the USA.
Yes, we’re going to test, evaluate and score competition between young drivers in four age/sex categories plus a surprise! -A MOM and DAD- and reward the Champions with major prizes. Like what? Like a $10,000 4-year COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP and a BRAND NEW TOYOTA MATRIX.
WOW, says the crowd. The first pilot test of this stupendous TOYOTA CAR CONTROL CHALLENGE starts April 1, 2008 right here in Cincinnati, Ohio and Northern Kentucky. So you better start now to brush up on your ATTITUDE, your driving KNOWLEDGE, and your CAR CONTROL SKILLS, because to win prizes like these you gotta be AWESOME, BABY!
This is free. Yes, free. No purchase required. And it’s not a sweepstakes—no random drawings—the winners are those who score best in the three Challenges. Just click here and register. And even after you register there is no obligation to complete the testing—all voluntary (in case you chicken out). It’s actually fun and there is more to come. Here’s who you have to be to qualify and compete, and be eligible for the Grand Championship. At least 16 years old and no more than 19 on September 30th 2008. You have to live in one of these counties and have a valid learners permit or restricted or full driver’s license. There are some restrictions that you can see here.
Right now. Registration starts right here, right now and will continue into August for the late bloomers. Testing will begin on May 1, 2008 when the first testing material comes on this site—don’t lose your bookmark. In the meantime you will find here descriptions of the three Challenges: Attitude, Knowledge and Skills and lots of resource links to start preparing yourself. Visit this site often during April. The third challenge, Skill testing will begin in June, leading to a Grand Championship in September.
So wander around the site, read about why this a great opportunity to show off and have some fun and maybe win some cash. Come back often because you will have your own personal page here to keep track of your progress and show your friends. By the way, after you register and while you are here you will have an alias only you will know (unless you share it—we will never share it). So heck, if you’re the class dunce, only you will know—after all we deserve a little privacy while we’re trying to do good. Welcome to the CHALLENGE. Show us what you've got!
