This describes the Privacy Policy of this Toyota Car Control Challenge web site and Advanced Car Control Techniques (ACCT) the operators of the program and the web site. To participate in the program you will be required to provide personal information as described during registration. You will also select a personal alias, which identifies your information and eventual performance during the contest. All of this information becomes the proprietary property of ACCT and no third party including the sponsors shall have access to or ownership thereof.
It is the policy of ACCT to never show, share or sell the personal information you provide without your express written approval except for your performance during the competition and then only where such information is disguised via the alias of the contestant.
You will be asked to overtly assert that you have read the Rules and Regulations of the contest prior to registration as well as this Privacy Policy. This will be your assurance that you understand the limits of our use of your personal information and the conduct of the contest.
During the Skill testing phase of the contest you will be required to sign a Release of Liability for Toyota Motor Sales USA whose cars you will be using and for ACCT concerning your use of those cars during the testing. Again your personal information will be required and this will also be confined to Toyota Motor Sales and ACCT.
It may be necessary to communicate with you during the program and your contact information will be used to do so only by authorized employees and/or contractors of ACCT.
From time to time you may be approached by representatives of the media and your cooperation with them shall be totally voluntary and not the responsibility in any way of ACCT. However, Skill Test participants and prize category winners will be required to sign a release concerning the use of your name and your physical image as it appears in digital/film/video recordings from those events.
In order for you to use this site during the competition for the purpose of online testing or submission of test material your computer must permit the placement of cookies or reliably notify you when our cookie is being placed and become enabled to accept them. We are specifically not responsible for your computer’s inability to receive information from ACCT or the web site.
